Who we work with

Pick your business. See what we'd do.

Every kind of space has its own window problem. Tap yours to see the problems we fix and the shades we usually recommend.

Apartment buildings, condos, common areas
For property managers

Units that match, and a vendor who shows up.

Sound familiar?

  • A unit is ready to rent, except the blinds.
  • Every unit has different, half-broken blinds from three past vendors.
  • The leasing office and common areas get afternoon glare.

What we usually recommend

One shade style and fabric for the whole building, so every unit and every window looks the same from the street. Light-filtering for units, solar for lobbies and leasing offices.

No more glare on the screens at 3 p.m.

Sound familiar?

  • People complain about glare on their monitors every afternoon.
  • The west-facing conference room is useless when the sun is low.
  • The front of the office looks unfinished to clients.

What we usually recommend

Solar shades where people work, so the glare drops but the view stays. Blackout in conference and training rooms for presentations. Motorized on tall glass and big rows of windows.

For restaurant and café owners

Guests stop squinting at dinner.

Sound familiar?

  • The evening sun hits the window tables right at the dinner rush.
  • Guests ask to move, and the best seats sit empty.
  • Glare on the screens at the counter.

What we usually recommend

Solar shades on the sunny side, so guests keep the view without the glare. Motorized on big or high windows, so staff can lower a whole wall with one tap during service.

Control the sun without hiding the store.

Sound familiar?

  • Strong sun pours onto the products in the front window.
  • Glare on the screens and the checkout.
  • Covering the windows would hide the store from the street.

What we usually recommend

Solar shades: they cut the sun and glare while people can still see in from the sidewalk during the day. Clean roller shades that look sharp from inside and outside.

Privacy for patients. Calm in the waiting room.

Sound familiar?

  • Exam and treatment rooms face a parking lot or the street.
  • Glare on screens and monitors in the treatment rooms.
  • The waiting room feels harsh and bright.

What we usually recommend

Light-filtering or blackout where patients need privacy, so the room stays usable and nobody sees in. Solar or light-filtering in the waiting room for soft, even light.

Big windows, handled with one tap.

Sound familiar?

  • Huge windows and vaulted rooms nobody can reach.
  • Glare across the dining room during lunch and events.
  • The room needs to look finished for every event.

What we usually recommend

Motorized solar shades on the big glass, so staff can lower a whole room at once and guests keep the view. Blackout where the space is used for presentations or screenings.

Hand us the window scope. We'll price it.

Sound familiar?

  • The window covering scope is still open on a build-out.
  • You need a sub who measures right and shows up on schedule.
  • Your client wants motorized, and you need someone who installs it.

How we work with you

Send the drawings or a window list and we'll price it. We measure on site once the openings are finished, make every shade to size, and install with our own team.

Why commercial is different

A business isn't a bigger house.

More windows, more people, and more eyes on how it looks. Here's what we plan for on every commercial job.

01 · One look

Every window matches

Same style, same fabric, same height, from inside and from the street. No patchwork of old vendors.

02 · People at work

Glare where it matters

We look at which way each room faces and when the sun hits it, then pick the fabric for the work done there.

03 · Many windows

One tap, a whole zone

Motorized shades can be grouped, so a whole room or a whole wall of glass moves together.

04 · Your business

Planned with you

Tell us when your space is quiet and who needs to approve, and we plan the measure and install with you.

Shades for business

The right shade for every kind of room.

All of these are custom roller shades we make, measured to each window. Most businesses use two or three.

Manual or motorized

Lots of windows? That's where motors pay off.

Many businesses mix them: motorized on tall or busy glass, manual in private offices and units.

Manual

Simple and lower cost

Each shade is raised and lowered by hand. Great for private offices, exam rooms and apartment units.

  • Lowest cost per window
  • Nothing to charge
  • Best for windows people can easily reach
Motorized

A whole zone with one tap

Group shades by room or by wall, or put them on a schedule, so the sunny side closes itself every afternoon.

  • Tall glass nobody can reach
  • Rows of windows that should move together
  • No cords or chains to break or tangle

Which shade where

The usual pick for every kind of space.

A starting point, not a rule. At the assessment we check which way each room faces and how it's used.

Before you buy

5 mistakes businesses make with window shades.

We see these in offices, buildings and storefronts all the time. Each one costs money twice.

MISTAKE 01

A patchwork of vendors

Different shades in every office or unit make the whole building look unfinished, inside and from the street.

Do this instead: pick one style and fabric family and use it everywhere.

MISTAKE 02

Blackout in the open office

It kills the daylight, so people close the shades and turn the lights on all day.

Do this instead: solar where people work, blackout only where you present.

MISTAKE 03

Manual shades on tall glass

Nobody can reach them, so they stay half down forever and the room looks messy.

Do this instead: motorize tall glass and long rows of windows.

MISTAKE 04

Standard sizes from a catalog

Cut-down stock shades leave uneven gaps, and across forty windows it shows.

Do this instead: get every shade made to its exact window.

MISTAKE 05

Measuring before the walls are done

On a build-out, measuring before trim and drywall are finished means shades that don't fit.

Do this instead: bring us in early to plan, and measure once the openings are finished.

Why businesses choose us

One local team, from the first walk-through to the last shade.

No call center and no hand-offs. You deal with the same people the whole way.

Mówimy po polsku · We speak Polish
01

We make our own shades

Every shade is built to the exact size of its window. Not a catalog size cut down to fit.

02

We measure, so the fit is on us

We measure every window ourselves. If a shade we measured doesn't fit, we remake it at no cost.

03

Installed by our own team

The people who measured your space come back to install it and set everything up.

04

A quote you can forward

Written and room by room, so it's easy to get approved by whoever signs off.

05

Every kind of shade

Solar, blackout, light-filtering, zebra, manual and motorized. One vendor for the whole space.

06

We come back

If something ever goes wrong, you call the same local team that installed it.

Questions

Commercial shades, answered.

Something else? Call or text (847) 305-3115.

What kinds of businesses do you work with?

Offices, apartment and condo buildings, storefronts and showrooms, restaurants and cafes, medical and dental offices, clubhouses and event spaces. We also work with general contractors and designers on build-outs.

How do you price a commercial job?

We come out for a free on-site assessment, count and measure every window, and check the glare. Then you get a written quote, room by room, that you can forward to whoever approves it.

What shade is best for glare on computer screens?

Solar shades, in most offices. They cut the glare and the sun while people can still see outside, so the room stays bright. For conference and training rooms that need to go dark for screens, choose blackout.

Can a whole floor or a whole wall of windows move together?

Yes. Motorized shades can be grouped, so a whole room, a whole wall of glass or a whole zone moves with one tap or on a schedule.

Do you work with apartment buildings and unit turnovers?

Yes. We can set one shade style and fabric for the building so every unit matches. Tell us how many units you have and how often they turn over, and we will talk through how to keep it simple.

Can you install without shutting down my business?

Tell us when your space is quiet and when it is busy, and we will work out an install time with you before we schedule anything.

Can you work with our general contractor or designer?

Yes. Send the drawings or a window list and we will price it. We measure on site once the openings are finished, so every shade fits.

What paperwork can you provide for our building?

Tell us on the first call what your building or management company needs from vendors, and we will tell you straight what we can send.

How long does a commercial job take?

It depends on how many windows and how many floors. You get a timeline together with your written quote, so you can plan around it.

Do I have to commit to anything at the assessment?

No. The on-site assessment is free. You get a written quote and take as long as you need to get it approved.
